We highly recommend ABD! They did major remodels on two distressed properties that we purchased as part of a fairly complex 1031 exchange transaction. One is a duplex built in 1950 and the other, right next door, is a SFR build in 1939. We couldn't be more pleased with ABD's professionalism and expertise, which they developed growing up and working in this multigenerational company. The owners, Heather and Alison have nurtured and expanded on the established network of relationships with high quality trades people, and others, that their father, who started the company decades ago, established originally. They have clearly earned the respect of this community. ABD sensibly requires the completion of an upfront project design, during which they work with you as a partner, and consult with their tradespeople. This approach greatly reduces the likelihood of unpleasant surprises that seem inevitable, particularly in old, neglected homes. This told us right out of the gate that they had insight, clearly gained through years of experience. We were inexperienced with remodeling such old properties. But, despite their poor condition, they seemed to have potential. We envisioned staying in them ourselves and renting them out on a midterm basis. Fortunately, ABD saw the value in restoring these neglected gems too, and their guidance has been invaluable. ABD's design recommendations considered our style and needs, including budget, while also considering all the other practicalities we wouldn't have thought of without them. They understood and easily accommodated (at least they made it seem easy) the critical timing issues related to the1031 exchange. For those areas they do not specialize in, like landscaping, they sometimes referred us to vendors they knew, who were also excellent, like Magna Concrete Corp. This company also made difficult issues, like long standing water flow mitigation issues, look easy to correct. Overall, we are thrilled with the end result. And, we finished both properties on time and within our expected cost constraints! A bonus is that the ABD team are all around great people to work with. They make it their goal not just to finish the project on time and on budget, but for you to love it! We can't imagine working with anyone else!

I first worked with ABD in 2009 on a major remodel of the first floor and front elevation of our home. I returned in 2024 for a Master Bedroom and Bath refresh. The outcome of this recent project is just delightful! I enjoy ABD’s competency, professionalism and design skill and highly recommend this business.

First class company! They completed remodeling of our main floor and finished our basement, and did an awesome job. They had many more creative ideas than others we spoke to which led to a unique finish. What has impressed me the most is that they have been so willing to help my family with other issues in my home over time and give me needed assistance even with items unrelated to their previous work. I would highly recommend them and would use them again. They do amazing work and are just good people!
