This week we are highlighting our project on Grovewood Court. In this project, the clients wanted to renovate the living room and expand their kitchen into the formal dining room creating an open concept flow into the front room. In the kitchen, they wanted a large island and a hood stove feature in the kitchen. With all of that in mind and once our selections were in place, we got to work creating the client’s vision.
Our final results were stunning. Some of the more beautiful details include the accent tile in the kitchen, a Calcutta gold marble. That accent tile really makes the Zephyr Stove hood one of the major focal points of the kitchen. It also does an amazing job at pulling out the golden tones in the wood, giving the whole room incredible warmth
In the living room we replaced existing brick with a wood mantle and a light stone detail that mirrors the tones in the kitchen. A new Heat n’ Glo fireplace replaces the older model, to complete this cozy living room.
In the front room the goal was to create an entertaining space that linked the spaces together. Using the original fireplace, the homeowners refurbished the original mantle and we added a granite overlay so that the new fireplace would fit in the existing slot. The result is a stately looking front room space and a touch of antiquity, perfect for hosting.
Looking back, we had an incredible time working with these clients and loved creating a space that had some much character.
