St. Patrick's DayAccording to, Fort Collins comes in at No. 7 as one of the top cities to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Our lovely area comes behind some traditional cities like Chicago, No. 1, and Boston, No. 2 on the list. Locally, Denver comes in at No. 26 with Colorado Springs ranking at No. 45.

The cities were ranked based on several factors, including St. Patrick’s Day traditions, costs, safety and accessibility and St. Patrick’s Day weather. For more than two decades, Fort Collins has been the St. Patrick’s Day destination for residents all over the Northern Colorado region. From free parades to a 5k and Irish inspired food and live music, you pick out your green attire and Fort Collins will provide the rest!

St. Patrick’s Day Schedule

On March 17th, the Lucky Joe’s St. Patrick’s Day parade returns to the historic streets of Old Town, as thousands will gather to cheer on an array of Irish-themed floats and entertainers along College Avenue. The parade is a FREE event that is open to all ages, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The parade and party bring music, costumes, dancing and family-friendly fun to the heart of Old Town for a full day of excitement.

After the parade, everyone will be heading to Old Town Square for the Old Town Irish Party hosted by Wilbur’s Total Beverage! The Irish Party will feature a “green beer garden” with beer from Odell Brewing and High Country Beverage, plus wine from Wilbur’s Total Beverage, as well as food offerings from Sammi’s Fried Cheese Curds and Mile High Lobster Shack. The Old Town Irish Party is free to attend and will feature live performances on the Old Town Square Stage.
