As we have mentioned before in our first part of this series, our goal is to minimize the headaches through our full-service process. Associates in Building + Design, Ltd. is committed to this unique design and build process that provides our customers with direct control over their project from the very beginning. After the initial consultation is complete and the design agreement is signed, the next step in the process is conceptualization.

Conceptualization: Step 2

During the conceptualization step, the ABD team goes to work planning the space and creating conceptual drawings. This process also usually includes a 3D conceptual rendering of the space, providing an exceptional look into what the home or space will look like once the full project is complete.

This phase also includes what is perhaps the favorite part of the entire process for many of our clients – selecting features and finishes! Clients will meet with staff designers during this process to complete conceptual selections to get the ball rolling. These meetings for selection-making usually take place in the ABD showroom and with selected vendors. This is the point in which finishes and fixtures are first selected and fine-tuned over time to ensure they match the client’s vision and budget.

Our proprietary design and build process provides clients with control throughout each step of project. In addition, every step of the project is done by ABD’s in-house team, which limits miscommunication, mistakes and budget overages while raising client satisfaction. This step is a perfect example of this, showing how we can provide a “one-stop-shop” for the full spectrum of your project while partnering with you through our process.
